The
health of Children is a primary objective of the Rockingham County Partnership
for Children. There are several avenues of family support in the area
of health and early preventative services.
The Healthy Start Initiative helps Rockingham County provide access to
health care for all children birth-5 years of age. As a result of the
Initiative more Medicaid families are accessing health services through
a primary medical provider as opposed to the emergency rooms at local
hospitals.
For more information, contact the Health Check Coordinator at
336-342-8219.
The needs of the Latino population are being addressed
more effectively through an interpreter’s services at the Rockingham
Department of Public Health.
If you have concerns about your child’s
health or development, please call the Partnership at 336-342-9676. A
staff member can refer you to appropriate services in the county.
